Research Different Types
Before making a purchase, explore the various types of baby potties available. Consider whether a standalone potty chair or a training seat that fits on your existing toilet is more suitable for your home and your child’s comfort.
Check Size and Fit
Ensure that the potty you choose is the right size for your child. Look for options that provide a comfortable fit, allowing your child to sit securely without feeling cramped or unstable.
Look for Practical Features
Consider practical features such as removable bowls for easy cleaning, splash guards for boys, and non-slip bases to prevent accidents. These features can enhance the usability of the potty and make the training process easier.
Prioritise Safety
Safety is paramount when selecting a potty. Look for products made from non-toxic materials and those that have been tested for stability and durability to ensure your child’s safety during use.
Consider Your Budget
Baby potties come in a range of prices. Set a budget that reflects the features you deem necessary, balancing cost with quality to find a potty that offers good value for money.
Think About Storage and Portability
If you have limited space or plan to travel, consider the portability of the potty. Some models are designed to be lightweight and easy to store, making them convenient for families on the go.
